A new chapter is coming for Jeff Buckley’s Telecaster!

It was announced in the press by the giant Guitar World, the Matt's Guitar Shop has sold Jeff Buckley's iconic Fender Telecaster to Matthew Bellamy, frontman of the band Muse.

We had the great honor of having Jeff Buckley's Fender Telecaster for a couple of months at Matt's Guitar Shop. This guitar had accompanied most of Jeff's career, a singer with the voice of an angel and a tragic destiny. Some singers are touched by grace, just as some instruments are touched by celestial alignment. They go beyond the status of wood, fashioned and assembled by the finest luthiers, to become objects of creation inhabited by a soul. Such was the case with this guitar, which accompanied Jeff Buckley's career. This instrument exuded a unique and indescribable aura.

After bringing the guitar to the Olympia stage to lend it to Myles Kennedy for a moving rendition of Hallelujah, on the same stage where Buckley had recorded his posthumous live album, it was time to write a new chapter with this guitar. Now it's Matthew Bellamy's turn to decide. An unconditional admirer of Jeff Buckley, Matt Bellamy owes him a debt of gratitude: it was he who inspired him to assume his characteristic vocal range in the early days of Muse. Far from being left behind a display case, this exceptional guitar will continue to deliver its unique notes for years to come. It has already been played in the studio by Matt, in a very moving version of Guiding Light where the Tele's unique grain magnifies the song. The Matt's Guitar Shop is very proud to have been able to act as intermediary in such a beautiful story.
