This interesting-looking guitar is a major instrument in the Dire Straits’ history. It is a 1983 Seafoam green Schecter Strat style that has been part of Jack Sonni's collection for decades.
It has been one of the main guitars played by guitarist Jack Sonni. This very guitar was used a lot on stage with Dire Straits and after, notably during the Brothers in Arms Tour and especially at Live Aid in July 13th, 1985.
As Jack Sonni recalled, this Schecter was used by Mark Knopfler for the solo on the recording of "One world" for Brothers in Arms. Mark Knopfler also played it with Jack Sonni’s band in 1983 on stage in New York.
It is an incredible piece of Knopfler, Dire Straits and British rock history!
