Matt’s Guitar Shop presents this Gibson ES-345 Prototype No. 5, from Marcus King’s personal collection.
This instrument comes from the development of his Gibson signature model. It represents a tangible part of that collaboration, inspired by “Big Red”, the family ES-345 closely associated with Marcus King’s musical history.
Its red finish, gold hardware, twin humbuckers and split-parallelogram fingerboard inlays give it the characteristic ES-345 appearance. A “Custom Made” plaque and sideways vibrato complete the presentation.
Its Prototype No. 5 designation and personal provenance are the defining features of this guitar, bringing together the appeal of a musician’s instrument and a collector’s piece.
