Unmistakable with its white Polka Dot body, this blue Buddy Guy Stratocaster Polka Dot finish is a bold and flamboyant reflection of the famous bluesman. With its pure tone and vintage style features, this guitar is a great tribute to one of the biggest names in electric blues, as well as being one of Fender's most iconic models.
The Polka Dot pattern is an integral part of Buddy Guy's style, from his shirts to his instrument. Identified by this very distinctive pattern, this Stratocaster quickly became his signature model. The finish, known as the "Polka Dot finish", is inseparable from the American musician's clean and inspired style. He explained that he adopted this style as a tribute to his mother. Since her death, it is a Fender with Polka Dots that he has decided to use mostly on stages around the world.
This model is based on an Eric Clapton Custom Shop that Buddy Guy used in the 1980's, with a typical 50's Soft V neck profile. Several Polka Dots models have since been created. The model offered by Matt's Guitar Shop is a limited edition Polka Dot finish in Midnight Blue that was signed by Buddy Guy himself. A beautiful deep blue finish for an iconic model, signed by the bluesman!
